(WNFL)- His agent says Jermichael Finley is in the best shape of his life -- but the Green Bay Packers won't be proving it with tests on his surgically-repaired neck. Finley met yesterday with team doctor Patrick McKenzie, but ESPN.com said no tests were scheduled -- and none were performed. After the report came out, agent Blake Baratz tweeted that Finley is making "tremendous strides," and he called for "patience." Technically, Finley is not with the Packers anymore because his contract expired in March. The Green Bay Press-Gazette says he still has a locker intact at Lambeau Field, as the team begins its organized team activities today. However, it's not like he could get a new contract right away. GM Ted Thompson and many of his assistants are attending scouting meetings in Florida. Finley had fusion surgery after he injured his neck against Cleveland last October. He met with the Seattle Seahawks in March, but that team did not give him medical clearance to join them.
