WAUPACA, WI (WTAQ) - The 19-year-old New London man arrested for setting a pair of fires Tuesday morning has been formally charged.
On Thursday, Jesse McLamarrah was charged with 8 counts, including two counts of attempted homicide and two counts of arson.
Police say McLamarrah tossed a Molotov cocktail into a hallway above the Copper Shot bar early Tuesday morning, targeting a specific apartment. Two people were hurt when they jumped from a second-story window. Six people, in all, were displaced.
About an hour later, McLamarrah is accused of setting fire to a playground for the early childhood program at New London High School. No one was hurt in that blaze.
McLammarah is being held on a $200,000 cash bond. He is due back in court Tuesday for the balance of his initial appearance.
