ANTIGO, Wis. (WSAU) -- Sartori Cheese had their groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday for an expansion of their Antigo and Plymouth manufacturing facilities.
The 14-million dollar project in Antigo will allow the Sartori company to make additional types of cheese and add over 50 new jobs when completed.
Governor Scott Walker attended the Antigo ceremony, saying the state is glad to help with incentives through the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation. WEDC has certified up to $394,500 in Economic Development Tax Credits for Sartori. These tax credits will be distributed annually based on the number of new, full-time positions created over a three-year period.
Along with the expansion projects, Sartori has committed to retaining its existing 265 employees in Antigo and Plymouth.
