The Associated Press released it's 2014 All State Girls High School Basketball team on Thursday. Green Bay Notre Dame senior Allie LeClaire made the first team. The Fox River Classic Conference player of the year led the Tritons to a second straight WIAA Division 2 state championship. LeClaire will attend UW Green Bay next year. She was joined on the first team by another Kevin Borseth recruit, Jessica Lindstrom of Superior. Also named to the first team were Jenny Lindner of Neilsville, Gabrielle Ortiz of Racine Prairie and the girls player of the year, Arike Ogunbowale of Milwaukee Divine Savior Holy Angels. Steve Hlunchick who guided Oak Creek to it's first ever Division 1 title was named coach of the year.
Other area players recognized were Frankie Wurtz of Kimbery, named to the second team. McKenna Larsen of Oconto Falls was all state third team along with Kelli Schrauth of Fon du Lac St. Mary's Springs. Honorable Mention all state players included Kennedy Blahnik of Algoma, Laken James of Oconto, Abby Radue of Fox Valley Lutheran, McKenzie Greisch of Appleton North, Alyssa Fischer of Manitowoc, Kauri Jenson of Neenah, Maddy Reed of Oshkosh Lourdes, Brooklyn Schamens of Oshkosh North, Melanie Schneider of Springs, Maranda Huibregste of Oostburg and C.J. Usadel of Sheboygan North.
