The Green Bay Phoenix rolled to a 72-55 victory over Valparaiso in the Horizon League Tournament quarterfinals at the Kress Events Center Wednesday night. The Phoenix (21-8) started shaky, missing their first six shots but used an 11-0 run to grab the lead. They put away the Crusaders early in the second half to advance to the semifinal round on Friday night. Four players reached double digits for Green Bay, led by Megan Lukan with 12. Mehryn Kraker scored 11 and Ellen Edison and Sam Zastrow each put up 10. The Phoenix will host the semifinal round Friday night, taking on UIC which defeated Cleveland State 77-72. Also advancing were second seeded Wright State over Milwaukee 73-64 and third seedd Youngstown State, a 68-64 winner over Oakland.
