RIVER FALLS, WI (WTAQ) - Authorities in Wisconsin and Minnesota were still looking at last word for a man suspected of stealing four vehicles just days after he left prison.
Chippewa County sheriff's deputies almost nabbed 38-year-old Eric Hall last Friday. Deputies said they were chasing a vehicle Hall reportedly stole in River Falls, when he drove it into a ditch and ran off.
Officers later learned of three other vehicle thefts -- including one that contained a shotgun, a rifle, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. Another belonged to a volunteer firefighter, and it had an emergency light and siren in it.
At last word, authorities said Hall might have heading either to St. Paul Park Minnesota, or Vilas County in far north central Wisconsin.
Investigators warn people not to approach Hall if they see him -- and instead to call 911 immediately.
