MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - You can't win 'em all.

An Illinois company that was considering a move to Wisconsin decided on a new location south of the state line.

The Rockford Register-Star said the All-World Machinery Supply company decided to move from Harvard Illinois about 20 miles west to Roscoe. That was after the Illinois state government put up $1.7 million in tax subsidies.

Company president David Koepp said Wisconsin made a "very strong offer" to lure All-World Machinery into the Badger State. 72 people work there now, making parts for various machines. Koepp says he hopes to have up to 175 employees within five years.

The state of Illinois put up tax breaks, plus funding for infrastructure to accommodate the firm's new plant. Local governments also agreed to tax abatements.
