WESTON, Wis (WSAU) An employee at the Wendy's in Weston was caught breaking into the restaurant after-hours. 28-year-old Ker Thao is accused of breaking the drive-through window to get into the building, and then escaping through the front door.
Police got a warrant to search his apartment where they searched for missing money bags and receipts.
The store manager says the restaurant had been broken into four times in the last three weeks.
While searching Thao's apartment, it was also discovered that he was stealing electricity. Police reports say he'd drilled through the floor and was powering his apartment with extension cords from a storage unit below.
He's being held on $5,000 cash bond on charges of burglary, theft, and bail jumping. He's due back in court June 18th for a preliminary hearing.
