GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - The Brown County clerk's office is now issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples.
It began Monday around 10 a.m. after county attorneys gave the green light.
The clerk's office had been waiting for clarification from the state Vital Records office, but they didn't get any.
Same-sex couples had been waiting in line since 8 a.m. to get their licenses in the wake of Friday's federal court ruling overturning Wisconsin's ban.
Several couples went to the Brown County courthouse across the street to get married after receiving their licenses.
