PLOVER, Wis. (WSAU) -- The charges against a Plover man will change from attempted homicide to homicide. That’s because the victim died in the hospital.
77-year-old Christopher Bonnstetter died late Tuesday afternoon at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. He was taken there after allegedly being beaten several times with a baseball bat by his stepson.
32-year-old Andrew S. Pray is facing charges including homicide because of the Memorial Day Monday attack. It happened at Bonnstetter’s home on Cedar Drive in Plover. Pray’s mother was there, and tried to call for help, and had to go to a neighbor’s for assistance. Pray was arrested a short time later.
Andrew Pray is being held on a $250,000 cash bond awaiting his next court appearance Monday.
