MILWAUKEE (WTAQ) - The Milwaukee-based Manpower job staffing company saw its quarterly profits jump by 61 percent over the past year.
The Manpower Group reports a net income of $110 million from April through June, up from $68 million in the same quarter of 2013.
Earnings for shareholders jumped from 87 cents a share to $1.35 -- a few cents higher than what Manpower projected.
Manpower is now the world's 3rd-largest recruiting and staffing company. CEO Jonas Prising said there was especially solid revenue growth in the U.S., Italy, and England in the last quarter.
Total revenues jumped by 5.6 percent, to almost $5.33 billion. U.S. revenues rose by 5 percent.
