UNDATED (WSAU-Wheeler News) Just over four of every five employers now offer fringe benefits to employees' domestic partners in same-sex relationships. That's according to the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, located in the Milwaukee suburb of Brookfield.
Almost 540 employers answered the group's survey in June. Almost a third of employers offer benefits to same-sex couples in states where gay marriage is not legal -- and that includes Wisconsin.
Foundation C-E-O Michael Wilson says some employers are making changes in order to comply with various laws. Others say they're doing it to make their corporate culture more inclusive.
