Bucks hire Kidd, fire Drew

The Milwaukee Bucks have worked out a trade with the Brooklyn Nets, not for a player, but a coach.  Jason Kidd will become the next head coach of the Bucks after spending one year with the Nets.  New owners Marc Lasry and Wes Edens were able to negotiate a trade and a contract with Kidd, giving Brooklyn a second round draft choice in 2015 and another second round pick in 2019.  A three year deal worth a reported 12 to 15 million dollars was also reached, all in advance of the Bucks firing existing coach Larry Drew.  In his only season on the bench, Drew and the Bucks struggled mightily, finishing with the league's worst record at 15-67, the worst season in franchise history.  In his first season as a coach at any level, Kidd and the Nets started 10-21 but rallied to finsh 44-38 and reach the second round of the playoffs.  The Milwaukee franchise has been dormant for some time but in the last week, has made quite a splash, drafting Duke forward Jabari Parker second overall last week and now luring Kidd away from Brooklyn.
