WEST BEND, WI (WTAQ) - Don't bother us -- just pray for us.
That's what the family of West Bend native Andrew Boldt is saying, after the Purdue University senior was shot to death Tuesday while serving as a teaching assistant in a computer engineering class.
The family's church, St. Frances Cabrini, said the Boldt family is grateful for the support it has received -- and those who want to help should simply pray for them. For now, they're asking for privacy.
Cabrini Catholic Church is open Wednesday for those who wish to pray and-or light candles in honor of Boldt's family. The church says there will be public opportunities to pray with the family as a community -- and they'll be announced in the coming days.
A fellow engineering student, 23-year-old Cody Cousins of Ohio, was arrested. Police believe Cousins targeted Boldt. He surrendered on a possible murder charge.
