MIDDLETON, Wis. (WSAU) -- There’s a new policy at Middleton High School: No cellphones allowed during testing times.
The school’s administration received anonymous letters claiming some of the students were taking cellphone camera pictures of test questions, and either sharing or selling them to their classmates.
Teachers will collect all electronic devices before tests given, and the teachers are creating multiple versions of the test. The allegations of cheating have also prompted the school to make all calculus students retake a recent test that was first given in December. The second go-around in the calculus test had students scoring about 3% lower than the first test overall.
