Wisconsin Men's Basketball falls to Indiana

(WNFL) - The Wisconsin men's basketball team lost for the first time this season, 75-to-72 last night at Indiana.  Yogi Ferrell scored 25 points for the Hoosiers, as they ended a 12-game losing streak to the Badgers which dated back to January of 2007.  Third-ranked Wisconsin fell to 16-and-1 -- leaving Arizona, Syracuse, and Wichita State as the only unbeaten Division-One teams in the country.  The game was tied at 65 when Ferrell scored five straight points.  Wisconsin got to within one in the final minute on a Frank Kaminsky lay-up.  Ferrell made a pair of throws which gave Indiana a three-point edge with 18-point-one seconds left.  The Badgers blew a chance to send the game to overtime when Traevon Jackson and Ben Brust missed three pointers in the final seconds.  Jackson led Wisconsin with a career-high 21 points, and Brust had 13.  Coach Bo Ryan said his Badgers seemed to worry about getting fouls, due to the way the game was being called.  Indiana made 7-of-10 free throws, while the Badgers only went to the line four times and made one.  Indiana scored 52 of its 75 points in the paint, with a 31-26 rebounding edge.  The Hoosiers improved to 2-and-2 in the Big Ten and 12-and-5 overall.  The Badgers are now 3-and-1 in league play.  They'll host Michigan on Saturday.  Tonight, the Wisconsin women will play Indiana at home.
