GLENWOOD CITY, WI (WTAQ) - An expansion that was being built at a nursing home started on fire Tuesday morning in Glenwood City in far western Wisconsin.
The blaze broke out around 5 a.m. at the Glenhaven Nursing Home.
The main nursing home was not evacuated as of mid-morning, but authorities said residents were moved to a place away from the fire.
St. Croix County sheriff's officials said the addition's rool has collapsed. No injuries have been reported.
Various media reports said about 100 firefighters from up to 20 departments were called.
The new facility was being built on the west side of the 53-year-old building, which provides respite and short term care, plus therapy and rehab services for up to 44 residents.
