OSHKOSH, Wis. (WSAU) -- One of the two pilots famous for a successful crash landing in the Hudson River five years ago will be speaking this week in Oshkosh.
Jeff Skiles was with Captain Chesley Sullenberger when the airplane struck a flock of geese after takeoff in New York City, and was forced to land on the river. There were no casualties, and over 150 people made it to safety.
Skiles is the Experimental Aircraft Association’s Vice President of Community and Member Programs. He will be speaking to the EAA this Thursday.
