GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - San Francisco kicker Phil Dawson's 33-yard field goal as time expired helped the 49ers overcome the Green Bay Packers 23-20 in the NFC Wild Card game at Lambeau Field Sunday.
49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick led the game-winning drive, and was the difference all game long, finishing 16-of-30 for 227 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Kaepernick also ran for 98 yards.
Mason Crosby hit a 24-yard field goal with 5:06 left in the game to tie the score 20-20. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers did his best to push the Packers into the second round of the playoffs, finishing 17-of-26 for 177 yards and 1 TD.
The 49ers now play Carolina next week in the NFC Divisional playoff game and have won 4 straight over the Packers.
