(WNFL)- The Green Bay Packers' new running backs' coach has high praise for Eddie Lacy. Sam Gash said the N-F-L's offensive rookie-of-the-year has similarities to Hall-of-Fame rusher Curtis Martin, who spent most of his career with the New York Jets. Gash helped blocked for Martin and a host of other standouts during his 12-year N-F-L playing career -- and he vows not to change Lacy's basic running style. Gash was named last Friday as the replacement for Alex Van Pelt, who will now coach Green Bay's quarterbacks. Gash said he spoke with Lacy as soon he got hired -- and based on their conversation and game film, he said Lacy has the same mentality as Martin even though Lacy is bigger. Gash said he'd like to help teach Lacy the little things about being a pro, and advancing beyond his rookie success.
