The Wisconsin Badgers were in no position to be choosy after dropping five of their last six Big Ten games. Tuesday night, they took on last place Illinois and came away with a 75-63 victory to get back to .500 in conference play at 5-5. Sam Dekker and Ben Brust led the way with 16 points each. Traevon Jackson and Nigel Hayes each scored 14. Wisconsin led by six at intermission and while the Illinni challenged in the second half, they never could take the lead. A pair of three point hoops by Dekker in the final five minutes kept the home team at bay. Wisconsin improves to 18-5 overall on the season and they return home to face a Big Ten contender in Michigan State on Sunday at the Kohl Center.
