(WNFL)- Brewers' starter Jimmy Nelson has been named the Pacific Coast League's pitcher-of-the-year for the time he spent at Triple-"A" Nashville. It's the second straight season that a Milwaukee pitcher won the honor. Johnny Hellweg was the PCL's top pitcher ago. Nelson had 16 starts and one relief appearance for the Nashville Sounds, going 10-2 with a 1.46 ERA and 114 strikeouts in 111 innings. Nelson led all of Minor League Baseball with his ERA. He also led the minors by limiting opposing hitters to a .179 average.
