(WNFL)- Brewers' starter Matt Garza appears to be ready for the final step in his rehab from a strained left oblique muscle. The veteran right-hander threw a solid bullpen session yesterday in San Diego, after tossing 40 pitches in a similar exercise last Friday. Garza has been on the disabled list since August fifth. Manager Ron Roenicke says he'll find out today how the pitcher feels -- and based on that, Garza will either get a minor league rehab assignment or a simulated game before he returns to the Milwaukee rotation next week. Garza is 7-7 this year with a 3.58 ERA.
