(WNFL)- Wily Peralta will try to win his fourth straight game tonight, when the Milwaukee Brewers open a crucial weekend series at Saint Louis. The Brewers have lost four of their last six -- and if they get swept by the Cardinals, the Crew would drop out of first place in the National League Central for the first time since April fifth. The Brewers have a two-game over second-place Saint Louis. Pittsburgh is two-and-a-half back, and Cincinnati is five-and-a-half off the pace. Peralta is 12-6 with a 3.56 ERA. He's coming off a victory last Saturday against the New York Mets in which he gave up two runs in five-and-two-thirds innings. Peralta has won eight of his last nine decisions, including a July 13th win over the Cardinals at Miller Park. Redbirds' ace Adam Wainwright will start against Milwaukee this evening. He's 13-5 with a 1.92 ERA. He threw seven shutout innings against the Chicago Cubs last Sunday. Milwaukee goes into Busch Stadium with a solid 30-23 road record. The Cards are 29-and-23 at home.
