Brewers looking for 3 straight over the Cardinals

(WNFL)- The Milwaukee Brewers have not won three straight games over the Saint Louis Cardinals since August of 2011. But they can match that accomplishment tonight with a victory at Busch Stadium. The Crew beat the Cards 5-to-3 last night in 12 innings, after winning their previous match-up at Miller Park 11 days ago. The Brewers have won eight of their last ten games overall, despite losing three of their biggest hitters to injuries the past three days -- Ryan Braun, Jean Segura, and Aramis Ramirez. Ramirez is the latest to be hurt. He suffered a bruised elbow when he was hit by a pitch in the seventh inning last night. He, Segura, and Braun are all officially listed as day-to-day -- but it's not known when they'll return. A loss by the Cardinals tonight would drop them back to .500 at 14-and-14. Catcher Yadier Molina continues to be hot, with a .379 batting average in his last 16 games against the Crew at Busch. Molina had two hits last night, and is the Cards' leading hitter with a .344 average this season. Right-hander Kyle Lohse will start for Milwaukee tonight against Cardinals' right-hander Lance Lynn.
