Make it 5 straight for Crew

It's official, the Milwaukee Brewers are hot.   A four run 8th inning broke a 4 all tie and Milwaukee went on to defeat the Philadelphia Phillies again Wednesday night 9-4 for their fifth consecutive victory.  It's been 27 years since the Brewers won their first five road games of the season.  An error by Ryan Howard opened the gate for the Crew in the decisive inning.   He couldn't reach Logan Schafer's ground ball up the line that knocked in the go ahead run.  Ryan Braun would tack on a two run triple.  Carlos Gomez went 3 for 5 on the night with his third home run of the season.   Mark Reynolds hit his second, a solo shot in the 9th for the final margin.   The game started sloppy for both teams.  Milwaukee scored two in the top of the first thanks to a Jimmy Rollins error.  The Phillies countered by scoring three times off Matt Garza in the opening frame.  Tyler Thornburg picked up the win with two scoreless innings of relief.  At 6-2, Milwaukee shares baseball's best early record with San Francisco and they'll look to complete a 6-0 season opening road trip sending Marco Estrada against Cliff Lee in the series finale Thursday night at Citizens Bank Ballpark.
