GRAND CHUTE, WI (WTAQ) - An envelope manufacturer in Grand Chute is closing its facility.
The move by Cenveo is putting 150 people out of a job.
Last fall, Cenveo bought National Envelope out of bankruptcy. The company has been attempting to work out a lease with the firm that owns the building, but has been unable to agree to a deal with Arizona-based Spirit Leasing.
“It’s a difficult decision and a tough day for those impacted,” Mark Hiltwein, president of the envelope group for Cenveo, told FOX 11. “We don’t take these things lightly but the landlord put us in a difficult situation.”
The facility in Grand Chute is expected to operate for another 60 days before shutting down.
Cenevo is also shuttering three facilities in other state. But officials say they may relocate two of them.
