The Wisconsin Badgers knew going in they would have to play a near perfect game against unbeaten and fourth ranked Ohio State Saturday night in Columbus. They were far from that in falling 31-24, falling to 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the Big Ten and tumbling out of the top 25 in both polls. Braxton Miller fired three touchdown passes, the first just two minutes into the game and his third came on 4th down with one second left in the first half. The Badgers fought hard to get back into the game but it was too much to overcome. Other mistakes included a formation penalty in punt formation when the Badgers recovered a fumbled return deep in Ohio State territory. A dropped interception occured just two snaps before the end of half bomb. Wisconsin's running game was also held in check by the Buckeye's defense. The Badgers hit their bye week before returning to action on October 12 against Northwestern.
