ST. PAUL, MN (WTAQ) - The second week of Jeffrey Trevino's trial is underway.
He's the St. Paul man accused of killing his wife, Wausau area native Kira Steger Trevino.
Minnesota prosecutors are entering their fourth day of making their case to the jury.
Monday, Mall of America security guard Robert Ritchie testified that he was on routine patrol when he saw a car with a parking ticket issued two days earlier. He said he found a floor mat with blood on an embankment behind the car -- and when he opened the trunk, he saw more blood.
The murder victim worked at the mall.
Authorities said Jeffrey and Kira Trevino had a bloody fight at their home in February. Kira's body was recovered in May from the Mississippi River in St. Paul.
