MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - Wisconsin is off to a good start in conference play.
The Badgers thumped Purdue in a 41-10 win Saturday.
Running backs Melvin Gordon and James White trampled over Purdue’s defense for a combined 292 yards. Both backs carried the ball 16 times, Gordon rushed for 147 yards and 3 touchdowns.
The Badger’s defense also put on a defensive clinic and stymied the Boilermaker’s offense to just 180 total yards.
The win sets up a showdown with 4th-ranked Ohio State next Saturday.
