The Milwaukee Brewers roughed up Pittsburgh ace Francisco Liriano in beating the Pirates 9-3 at Miller Park Wednesday night, salvaging the final game of the series and breaking a five game losing streak. Liriano lasted only three innings, giving up seven runs. Khris Davis belted a two run homer, Aramis Ramirez and Jeff Bianchi drove in two runs each, Ramirez also scored three times. Wily Peralta got his ninth win, working six innings, giving up three runs. Andrew McCutcheon homered in the sixth and on the next pitch, Peralta drilled Justin Morneau sparking both benches to empty but order was restored quickly. Milwaukee (60-79) has a day off Thursday before opening up a three game series against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field.
