MADISON, Wis. (WSAU) - The Governor is going to have to appoint another Wisconsin Sheriff. This time, it will be in Waushara County.
Sheriff David Peterson is resigning with fourteen months left in his term of office. Qualified applicants will have to provide a resume and cover letter to Governor Scott Walker, along with filling out an online application.
So far this year, Governor Walker has appointed four replacement sheriff’s. Grady Hartman was chosen in January to serve as Sheriff in Oneida County. In April, Patricia Ninmann was appointed Dodge County Sheriff. Chief Deputy Scott Parks was elevated to the Sheriff position in Marathon County in May. Joseph Fath was just appointed in September as the new Vilas County Sheriff. There is still another opening to be filled in Green County.
