(WNFL) - Milwaukee Brewers’ Hall-of-Famer Paul Molitor will return to the Minnesota Twins’ coaching staff next year.  Molitor grew up in Saint Paul, and he played the final three of his 21 Major League seasons with the Twins.  Molitor will supervise base-running, bunting, infield positioning, and in-game strategy from the dugout.  He spent two years coaching with the Twins under manager Tom Kelly in 2000 and 2001.  He later went to Seattle as a hitting coach.  For the last eight years, Molitor has been coaching in Minnesota’s minor league system.  The 57-year-old Molitor graduated from Cretin High School in Saint Paul in 1974 and attended the University of Minnesota.  He played his first 15 Major League seasons in Milwaukee, helping the Crew get to its only World Series in 1982.  The Brewers let Molitor go as a free agent in ‘93, when he won his only World Series ring with the Toronto Blue Jays.  Molitor belted his three-thousandth career hit as a Twin in 1996, essentially punching his ticket to Cooperstown.  He retired as a player in ’98.
