MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - An effort to get tougher on bullies in cyberspace was unanimously approved Thursday by the Wisconsin Senate's education committee.
The panel endorsed a bill from Janesville Democrat Tim Cullen. It would ban the posting of messages that intentionally threaten people and property.
Also, the state's model school policy on bullying would reflect the ban on student cyberintimidation.
The model policy helps local school boards approve anti-bullying policies that have been required by law for the past couple years.
