GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - The Green Bay Packers' defense suppressed their NFC North rivals with a 22-9 win over the Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field Sunday.
The Lions (3-2) came into the game without their top offensive weapons, receiver Calvin Johnson, and managed just a late touchdown. Quarterback Matthew Stafford was sacked 5 times, while only gaining 286 total net yards.
Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers finished 20-of-30 for 274 yards and one TD. That touchdown was an 83-yard strike to receiver James Jones in the third quarter giving the green and gold a big cushion.
Kicker Mason Crosby connected on five field goals.
The Packers (2-2) have now won 23 consecutive games against the Lions in the state of Wisconsin.
