FREEDOM, WI (WTAQ) - Authorities are still investigating after a bomb threat was written in a bathroom at Freedom High School Monday.
It was during a freshman volleyball tournament, and Freedom Area School District Administrator Kevin Kilstofte says they evacuated everyone in-and-around the building.
"Everybody, parents, student athletes, the rest of the crowd, absolutely no problem," said Kilstofte.
Outagamie County Sheriff's were called in, and their bomb sniffing dogs did a sweep of the building and found nothing. While that happened, Kilstofte says their emergency alert system notified parents and staff about the ongoing situation.
It did rattle a few parents, who spoke with Kilstofte.
"Rightfully so they're very concerned like we all are," says Kilstofte. "It certainly helps having that notification system so everybody's notified at the same time within just a few short minutes."
Kilstofte says the bomb dogs did a second sweep of the high school Tuesday morning before classes.
"All students, bags were swept with the dogs and then we went on and had a productive school day," says Kilstofte.
Kilstofte says the investigation is still ongoing, but anyone with information can call either the school district office at (920) 788-7944 or the Outagamie County Sheriff's Department at (920) 832-5605.
