Bucks open camp

The Milwaukee Bucks open training camp today with a roster overhauled and a brand new head coach.  After making it to the playoffs as the number 8 seed in the Eastern Conference last year, only to get swept out of the first round by the eventual champion Miami Heat, the Bucks tore apart the roster and fired interim head coach Jim Boylan.   His successor is Larry Drew, former head coach of the Atlanta Hawks.  The Bucks then dealt Brandon Jennings to Detroit and let Monta Ellis and J.J. Redick depart in free agency.   Now General Manager John Hammond and Drew have to put the new pieces back together.   There are only four holdovers from last year's team, Ersan Ilyasova, Larry Sanders, Epke Udoh and John Henson.   Newcomers include Caron Butler, O.J. Mayo, Brandon Knight and Gary Neal.  Three players begin their second tour of duty with the team, Luke Ridnour, Carlos Delfino and Zaza Pachulia.   The Bucks added Giannis Antetokounmpo and Nate Wolters in the draft.  Milwaukee begins pre-season play next week, inlcuding a stop at the Resch Center later this month against the New York Knicks.
