(WNFL) - When the Milwaukee Brewers play Minnesota next year, they'll see Joe Mauer at a different spot on the field. The Twins said today that their star catcher will play at first base next season. Mauer, a native of Saint Paul, suffered a concussion on August 19th of this year -- and he was out for the rest of the season. The Twins say Mauer is free of concussion symptoms, and he's conducting his off-season training regiment with no restrictions. Mauer has played 56 games at first in his career. In 536 fielding chances, he has committed four errors. The Brewers will play Mauer and the Twins on June second-and-third in Milwaukee, and June fourth-and-fifth in Minneapolis. The Brewers announced 14 games today in which all fans will get either bobble-heads or "T"-shirts.
