GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - A Green Bay woman is facing federal indictment involving a more than $1 million fraud scheme.
After a lengthy investigation involving Brown County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, 48-year-old Lisa Lewis was charged with defrauding at least 13 elderly investors.
Lewis would pass herself off as an account representative with Fidelity Investments and Fidelity Brokerage services. She wasn’t even a registered broker or had affliaction with Fidelity.
Lewis convinced victims to transfer money to accounts and obtained their passwords allowing her access to those accounts. She eventually used the money for personal use.
Authorities say she wrongfully obtained fund in excess of $1 million.
