Milwaukee drops 5th straight

by

The venue was different but the teams and unfortunately, the results were the same as the Minnesota Twins handed the Milwaukee Brewers their fifth straight loss, 4-1 Wenesday night at Target Field.  The Twins took the first two games in the home and home interleague series at Miller Park before returning home to beat them again.   Marco Estrada gave up three runs in the first inning, Ryan Doumit delivering a two run double.   Aaron Hicks added a solo home run as Estrada (4-3) wound up pitching 7 innings, allowing 7 hits, 4 runs with 5 strikeouts.  Samuel Deduno picked up the win for Minnesota.  The Brewers were held to five hits, Carlos Gomez had a pair, raising his average to .330.   Milwaukee (19-32), now has the third worst record in the major leagues, going just 5-21 in the month of the May.  Kyle Lohse, coming off the disabled list with elbow soreness will face the Twins P.J. Walters in the series finale Thursday night.  Pre-Game coverage on WTAQ begins at 6:35 PM.
