DE PERE, WI (WTAQ) - The annual Memorial Day parade in De Pere had people honoring those veterans who've made the ultimate sacrifice.
It began Monday morning outside West De Pere High School.
Desert Storm veterans marched in the procession; while purple heart recipients were also in attendance.
Those at the event say, it was a somber remembrance of the price for freedom.
"It's one of those days that I think America puts aside to remember those that have given everything," Bob Pointer, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 970, told FOX 11.
