MADISON, WI (WTAQ) - An annual survey shows that Wisconsin is the nation’s 17th best state for business – three places higher than a year ago.
Chief Executive Magazine bases the rankings on the perceptions of CEO’s.
The same survey ranked Wisconsin 43rd in 2009, when Democrat Jim Doyle was governor.
Current Governor Scott Walker issued a statement about the survey Tuesday, saying it shows that Wisconsin has improved its growth climate for business for the third year in a row.
Walker said it shows that Wisconsin’s economy is better off than a few years ago, and the state is on track to becoming, “one of America’s best states for business.”
