(WNFL 1440 AM - Green Bay - Jason Miller) - Bryan Bulaga was drafted out of Iowa as a left tackle, however he got moved to the right side. Josh Sitton was drafted as a tackle out of Central Florida and has been a right guard since joining the team. Well pack your bags cause your moving to the left side. According to a Packers source both Bulaga and Sitton will be the left side of your 2013 Packers. Bulaga to tackle and Sitton to guard.
It seems that Evan Dietrich-Smith has shown enough that he is slated to be the center and TJ Lang to right guard. So what does that mean for right tackle? They will take a look at the fourth-round draft pick David Bakhtiari to compete for the job with Don Barclay, Marshall Newhouse and Derek Sherrod. Barclay and Newhouse finsihed the season at the starting tackles– Barclay on the right side after Bulaga sustained a season-ending injury and Newhouse on the left side.
The Green Bay Packers are looking for an upgrade to the tackle position which was the reason for moving Bulaga to the left side aka blind side....ok movie, but back to the piece shall we, well unless you want to mention that the Packers have the highest paid player, playing quarter-back for them. Then making sure the left side of your line is stout, great move. The questions will be do you hang on to guys who you know can play but are injuried often or do you take a chance on someone else who isn't as prooven? That's for you to decide, the only thing I am afraid of is that GM Thompson will keep giving Sherrod chances even though his leg will never be the same after he broke it in 2011...remind you of anyone? Lets say it together...Justin Harrell
