Brown County authorities seek credit card fraud suspects

BROWN COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) - Two people are being sought for allegedly using another person's credit or debit cards at two locations in Brown County.

Investigators say a man and woman walked into the CVS Pharmacy, 2222 South Webster Avenue in Allouez, just before 7 p.m. March 12. They tried to use cards belonging to someone in Maine to buy several hundred dollars worth of gift cards, but the transaction was denied.

Just before 9 p.m. that night, the man went to the CVS Pharmacy at 800 Main St. in De Pere, where he successfully used the card to buy a $450 gift card.

The woman tried five more times to buy things with two separate credit cards, but was denied.

They left in a newer silver compact car.

Surveillance photos of the suspects and their car can be seen above.

Investigators think the two are working as part of a larger group, but did not say why they think that.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Brown Co. Sheriff’s Office at (920) 448-6190. Anonymous tips can be left with Crime Stoppers by calling (920) 432-7867 or texting GBTIP and the information to 274637.
