It's been a pretty good year for Mukwonago High School basketball. The girls, just like the boys last week in Madison, will play for the Division 1 Championship. In a battle of Classic 8 Conference rivals, the Indians rolled past the Arrowhad Warhawks 64-44. After splitting two close games during the regular season, this one was settled after only 8 minutes. Mukwonago was hot from the opening tip and raced out to a 26-7 lead after the opening quarter. It was a push from there. The Indians got big scoring nights from a senior and a freshman. The senior, Jenny Tuttle led the way with 22 points while freshman Bre Cera added 15. Arrowhead got 14 from Kelly Smith. The Warhawks finish the season 18-9 while Mukwonago improves to 25-2. They'll hope for a better result in the final than their classmates. Germantown defeated the Mukwonago boys for the state title last week. The Indians will face either Milwaukee Riverside or Superior Saturday night at 8:30 PM.
