COVERT (WKZO) -- The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is preparing to hold its third webinar concerning the Palisades nuclear power plant.  The event is set for Tuesday, March 19th from 5 to 6 p.m. to discuss a highly technical issue called Pressurized Thermal Shock.

An NRC spokeswoman would not say if they feel it's a possible issue at Palisades, but described it as a rare accident scenario where large amounts of water have to be injected into the reactor, with that rapid cooling threatening the plant.
