GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - A not guilty plea has been entered by a man charged with killing his girlfriend's two-year-old son.
29-year-old Nicholas Willies of Green Bay is facing five counts, including first-degree reckless homicide.
Police say Willies was babysitting his girlfriend's son, Alex Fountain, in January. Police say he took the boy to the hospital because he stopped breathing, and bruises and scrapes were found all over his body.
According to court documents, Fountain died from abdominal trauma and a significant head injury. A pathologist also found that some of the boy's injuries happened before the day he died.
No trial date has been set.
