CHILTON, WI (WTAQ) - A man from Calumet County faces life in prison for allegedly assaulting a four-year-old child.

72-year-old Norbert DeGroot has been charged with one count of sexual assault. Because DeGroot was already convicted in 1989 for sexually assaulting another child he faces life in prison without the possibility of parole. 

According to the criminal complaint, DeGroot assaulted the child in 2011.

DeGroot is scheduled to be back in court next month.
