Usually it's the Green Bay Phoenix women on the happy side of a 24-14 halftime score. But they were looking up Thursday night in Cleveland. The Phoenix rallied in the second half to beat the Vikings 52-49, running their winning streak to 8 games. Sarah Eichler banked in a three point shot with 1:35 to play to put Green Bay on top for good. Eichler finished with a game high 17 points. Stephanie Sension added 16 and Adrian Ritchie scored 13. Head coach Kevin Borseth felt fortunate to get the win in what was a physical contest, saying "we were outplayed." The Phoenix take over sole posession of first place in the Horizon League at 3-0, their overall record is now 13-2. The weekend road trips continues Saturday at Youngstown State.
