APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) - Health officials in the Fox Valley are warning residents about winter illnesses that are going around.
ThedaCare and Affinity Health System say they are seeing an influx of patients at hospitals and clinics. Common illnesses include including influenza, pneumonia and norovirus .
Officials remind people to wash their hands often and thoroughly, get flu shots and stay home if they feel sick.
Those who have symptoms such as fever, cough, vomiting or diarrhea should stay home from work or school and call their doctor.
